AhlulBayt News Agency: Tehran hosted the Hanzala International Award, an initiative aimed at recognizing and supporting educational products designed for children and adolescents that promote the culture of Resistance. The event seeks to empower artistic and media works that highlight Palestinian identity and raise global awareness about the oppression faced by the Palestinian people.
With Palestine as a central human and global concern, the award aims to introduce influential figures in the fields of education and culture who contribute to shaping the resilience and identity of younger generations.
The award is named after Hanzala, a cartoon character created in 1969 by Palestinian artist Naji al-Ali, who was later martyred in an Israeli attack. Hanzala symbolizes children forced to leave Palestine at a young age.
Founded by grassroots and cultural activists, the award focuses on artistic and media expressions to promote the Resistance culture. It seeks to challenge efforts to erase the Palestinian issue from global discourse. The results of the evaluation of submitted works will be announced on October 7, 2025.
